Saying that the U.S. needs change now more than ever, Al Gore says he's backing Senator Barack Obama for president.
Joining Obama at a Detroit rally, Gore says the nation has gone
through 8 years of what he called "the worst, most serious policy
mistakes in the history of our nation."
Thousands gathered at the Joe Louis arena to see Obama and the
former vice-presidential and 2000 White House hopeful.
Obama praised Gore and said he will call on him to help in
efforts to improve the environment.
