Timothy Delasandro is seeking the Republican nomination for Texas' 17th District in the US House of Representatives. Wednesday morning, he talked about his campaign for this March primary on the only local morning television newscast.

Delasandro was the latest of 15 candidates who will appear throughout February on Brazos Valley This Morning. His opponents for the Republican nomination are Rob Curnock, Bill Flores, Dave McIntyre and Chuck Wilson. Curnock and Wilson were on BVTM earlier. The others will appear later in the week.

Delasandro explained his belief that he is "THE conservative candidate" in the primary, discussed the biggest issue he thinks faces the district, and gave his opinions on earmarks, healthcare and taxation.

The College Station nurse also answered questions after the on-air segment for the morning show's Facebook and YouTube sites. That video is available below. Become a fan of BVTM on Facebook for exclusive behind the scenes content and updates.

I went to the debate at the Hilton with a clean slate; not being convinced for or against any of the candidates. I came out of the debate with a clear preference for wanting Timothy as my rep. Of all the candidates, he is the ONLY one that truly believes in "citizen representation". Keep in mind that another way to describe "experience" is "career politician". If we want and expect our Congress rep to be different, we can't keep electing the same old tired type of candidate.

TImothy Delasandro has good ideas and expresses himself well. He is just the kind of man we need to represent our district.

Delesandro has the right views, unfortunately he comes across like a used car salesman.
