Two Brazos Valley baseball players were taken on day one of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Texas A&M shortstop Jose Duran was taken in the sixth round by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 188th pick. Duran leads the Aggies with a .382 batting average.

Blinn pitcher Paul Demny was selected by the Washington National in the sixth round. Demny was the 181st pick overall.

The Major League Baseball Draft will continue on Friday.
