Bitten By The Bug

No, not that bug (just yet). Whatever is going around...I had it, and still have it. It started New Year's Eve, which I spent at home celebrating with my sick husband, Brent, a box of Kleenex and a jar of Vapor Rub.

I just knew I could shake this "bug" on my own and there was no need to go to the doctor. Who needs prescription drugs when you've got NyQuil? Right? Wrong. More than two weeks later, I'm still sick and coughing worse than before. Finally, I gave in to the urgings of my mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, and went to the doctor. Turns out I have bronchitis. I took a day off work to let the antibiotics kick in, leaving one-eyed Joe to anchor alone. If you're in the dark (no pun intended), see Joe's blog.

Monday was our six month wedding anniversary. Since I didn't feel much like going out to dinner, my sweet husband cooked for me and brought me flowers. It was perfect...just like our New Year's.

A day later, I'm already feeling better, acting a little loopy from the meds and sound two octaves lower than normal.

So in my first blog ever, my advice to you, my blog reader: wash your hands, stay away from anyone who may have the "bug" and suck it up and go to the doctor. Here's to a heathy 2008!

Until next time...

Crystal

P.S. Welcome to my blog...and my life.

I have to be honest, when I read the title, "Bitten By the Bug," I got excited for you, thinking it was THAT bug. Guess we'll just have to keep waiting.

Here's another situation where the Tao of Van Halen (see Joe Brown's blog responses) can be applied. Crystal, all answers can be found in the music of VH. For you and Joe "Somebody Get Me A Doctor". Regarding your anniversary, "Love Walks In"
