Super Bowl 42 Provides Super Game

I almost believed everything I had heard over the last two weeks that New England winning Super Bowl 42 was as sure a thing as the sun coming up in the morning. Not only did the New York Giants become the 2nd wild card team to defy the odds and win the Super Bowl, they did it by stopping the most consistent offense in the history of the NFL and they came from behind to boot 17-14.

It did my heart proud to watch Peyton Manning cheering on his brother, Eli, as the pair became the first brother combo to win Most Valuable Player honors in consecutive years.

As much as I would have enjoyed to see a perfect season, here's to the New York Giants who believed in themselves and stopped perfection in its tracks on the way to one of the most exciting super bowls in its 42 year history.

They were so un-impressionable that i cannot remember any of them. Gig'em Ags!!! I cannot wait for college football to start and hopefully see the return of the Ags of years ago.

Manning escaping the sack and throwing to Tyree for the helmet catch: greatest play in Super Bowl history. No question. Great game.

I agree! The emotions that surfaced and the stories both on and off the field made for a compelling and exciting game. I wasn't impressed with the commercials this year, though. Anyone else have an opinion on this year's Superbowl ads?
