Countdown to One BIG Day

The countdown has started, eight months to go before we say "I do."

You would think with a year and a half engagement I would have everything done, right? But, who would have thought that so much planning goes into one day. Believe me I want it to be magical, but with all this work, I wish we had a wedding week--just to enjoy it a little bit more.

So, I have the dress, the caterer, even the band, but it seems the hardest decisions come with the little things. Like, picking out a   flower girl dress.

I just can't find the perfect dress. I know this isn't a huge issue, but when you get down to the last things on your list, you just want to cross them all off, right? You would think I would be having this problem with my own gown, but I picked that one without any issues.      I also picked out the bridesmaid dresses in less than an hour.

I think I'm stressing because I just want my three, little, beautiful flower girls to look like little princesses. But, I don't want the dresses  to cost a fortune.

Ok, brides to be, brides of the past--help me!

I'm looking for an off-white/white dress that touches the floor, possibly with a pink or silver sash. I want it be big and flowing,    something that they can twirl in and have fun dancing in. Maybe I'm just regressing to my childhood.

I'll continue to write about my wedding planning experience, and I'd like to hear your stories. Calling all brides...lets share the good,    the bad and even the ugly.

Believe me, I thought this entire wedding planning process was going to be a piece of "wedding" cake--but wow--was I wrong.    Sharing our personal stories--we'll let us all know we are not alone.

I am no help here because we didn't have any kids in our wedding. All I can tell you is to make sure that not only is the photographer taking pictures, but make sure there are others taking them as well. It is nice to see what the guests actually see. Also, have fun. It will be the best day of your life, well, that is till you have your first child. That is a pretty grand day in itself.
