(Maybe) The Greatest Story I've Ever Seen

There are stories of determination.  There are stories of grief.  There are stories of sheer drama, of impossible endings, and of triumph when all appears lost.  Then there is this story.  It is all of the above and more.

Summerville (South Carolina's, not ours) is not a huge community, though nearby Charleston is pretty big.  Those cities and others were immeasurably changed in one of this nation's deadliest tragedies.

This is a story that I cannot imagine not being on the big screen someday.  It is a long piece -- 14 minutes -- but one you must see if you give thanks for those who protect us, if you think kids can teach us more about life than experiencing life itself, and if you believe with all the bad we see related to sports these days, there is so much good we can learn.

Barbara (and others), have the tissues handy.  There is sensitive material in the piece, but nothing gruesome, only life changing.  It may be the greatest piece I've ever seen.

Well, he had the opportunity to warn me but didn't. I ended up in the same boat as Barbara. How do you find these things?

Impacting lives....all of us have the ability, but only a few have the committment.

Posted by: Steve Fullhart I personally warned you and you STILL didn't get tissues?! Oh friend...

Oh, my goodness... you warned me, yet I didn't get the tissues. What a mistake! I'm now wearing a tear-stained T-shirt. Please... everyone else... GET THE TISSUES!!! What an amazing story. Heartbreaking... inspiring... wonderful! Thank you for sharing stories like these, Steve. You know I wouldn't find them on ESPN by myself.
