Fans of the original 90210 got bad news this week when Tori Spelling, who played  the popular Donna Martin character, announced that she currently will not be involved with the new project, after originally being the first recurring member to sign on.

That, however, was followed with good news when the Associated Press listed Jason Priestley as a 'Special Guest Star' in the new series, alongside former castmates Jennie Garth, Shannen Darhtey and Joe E. Tata.

Priestley, who will reprise his Brandon Walsh character, initially showed interest in being the executive producer for a few episodes of the new show, a role he obtained toward the end of the original series.  It is not yet known how the Brandon Walsh character will be worked into the new show.

'90210' will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, September 2, with a one hour special premiere. You can watch full episodes of the classic 'Beverly Hills, 90210' online for free at CBS.com.
