Fire Weather Conditions for Friday (Mar 14)

It's unbelievable how fast the weather can change across the Brazos Valley. Just a week ago, we were wrapping up coverage for one of the few snow events we see, while today we're preparing for what could be a day that host record high temperatures!

A strong southwesterly wind will usher in a very warm and dry airmass from West Texas, increasing fire weather conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of Central Texas, which includes Milam county in the News 3 viewing area. Remember, a Red Flag Warning means that it won't take much to start outdoor fires. Make sure and use extra caution if you have to do any outdoor burning.
