High humidity and calm winds are resulting in the development of fog across the southeastern portions of the Brazos Valley, some of which could be dense at times.

Dense, patchy fog can be tricky!  Visibilities (how far ahead you can see) can be fine when you leave home, only to drop to dangerous levels during the drive to work.  We're noticing an unchanged visibility of 10 miles in Bryan/College Station, which means you should be able to see without problems, however, other locations in the southeastern portions of the region have recorded visibilities of less then a quarter mile.

Even if the visibility is good where you live, remember it can drop quickly with little notice. Remember to use your low beams if you find yourself driving through areas of dense fog.

The winds are forecast to pick up during the morning hours, later this week.  Higher wind speeds help to mix the air and prevent fog from settling into a region, which means that hopefully dense fog won't be a problem later this week.
