Bryan Police visited the same apartment four times Wednesday night into Thursday morning after a man kept calling Brazos County 9-1-1.
According to the police report, 52-year-old William Lee Burkhalter first called 9-1-1 just after 8:30 Wednesday night. Burkhalter told cops that a neighbor kept knocking on his door.
He called another three times. Officers told Burkhalter not to call 9-1-1 unless it was an emergency and gave him the non-emergency number.
On the fourth visit, officers arrested Burkhalter for harrasment. They also checked with the next door neighbor. Both were intoxicated. Property management said Burkhalter and the neighbor knew each other and had been going back and forth to each apartment all night.
Burkhalter is in the Brazos County jail under $2,000 bond.
