College Station Mayor Nancy Berry was on Brazos Valley this Morning Wednesday.
She spoke about the new fiscal year, as well as the budget for the city of College Station.
Last month, College Station received August sales tax receipts, which reflected July sales.
Those were up more than 11 percent over the same month in 2012, and our year-to-date figures were more than 7 percent ahead of the previous year.
That shows continued growth in business and tourism sectors, which is exciting — but sales tax also makes up the largest portion of the city's revenues at more than 40 percent.
On Wednesday, the city is expected to find out if their September receipts look just as strong
