CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - First lady Michelle Obama headlines the first night of the Democratic National Convention with a speech in Charlotte, N.C.
She'll make her case to millions of Americans for why her husband should serve another four years.
Mrs. Obama will also spend the three days of the convention in Charlotte, shoring up support among key constituencies.
She plans to speak to the party's African-American, Hispanic and women's caucuses and address a gay and lesbian luncheon.
