The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a heat advisory for Wednesday, starting at Noon and lasting until 8pm.

They warn that temperatures will exceed 100 degrees, with heat indices reaching 108 degrees or higher.

Sunrise temperatures will be warmer than average by starting out in the low 80s. With added moisture in the atmosphere, forecasters are expecting the temperature to rise quickly.

The National Weather Service says to take extra precautions if you have to work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening hours. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light colored and loose fitting clothing and drink lots of water.
