The National Weather Service is confirming that two tornadoes touched down in Burleson County during last Friday's storms.
Officials with the weather service say the first tornado touched down in Snook and did some major damage to numerous homes, uprooting trees and destroying several barns and sheds.
The twister was on the ground for about 2 miles and was about 75 yards wide.
That storm was rated as an EF1, which measures winds between 86 and 110 miles per hour. .
Meanwhile, a second twister that touched down about 2 miles northeast of Snook was rated an EF2...which measures winds between 111-153 miles per hour.
The storm did major damage to a large metal building, flipped an automobile 50 yards and even tossed eighteen wheeler trailers some 100 yards.
That storm was on the ground for about 2 miles and was about 75 yards wide.
