Bryan-College Station's newest radio station is on the air.
Peace 107.7 FM went live Wednesday afternoon. The commercial Christian radio station is the first of it's kind in the Brazos Valley.
You may have heard music coming from 107.7 FM earlier this week. Engineers were testing signal and quality. Now that the station is operational, management wants listeners to get familiar with the new format and sound.
"Lots and lots of uplifting and encouraging music," says Brian Christopher, Peace 107 Program Director.
"We're going to start with a lot of music -- we'll always play a lot of music anyway. A lot of music and a lot of community involvment as well," Christopher continued.
In addition to launching Peace 107, Bryan Broadcasting celebrated 90 years of broadcasting in Bryan-College Station. The company now runs 9 radio stations and publishes several magazines.
