News 3 Network: Navasota Examiner

Budget talks continue in Grimes County with Commissioner Pam Finke now in the driver's seat.
She took over for Judge Betty Shiflett who was recently hospitalized with walking pneumonia.

Shiflett is now recovering at home.

Meanwhile, Finke and a county auditor were able to shave about 500 hundred thousand dollars from the 8-point-3 million dollar personnel and salaries.

The changes were based on recommendations from county commissioners and department heads.
The tax rate for the county did not change.

Find out why in this morning's Navasota Examiner.
