Congressman Bill Flores talked all things Sequester on Brazos Valley This Morning Wednesday.
In his regularly monthly appearance, Flores said that some of the things being done during the Sequester aren't smart.
"The President announced he was going to stop all White House tours on Friday," Flores said. He mentioned that the federal government doesn't spend a lot on the tours, but it was a way to punish the American people.
Flores says there's a "huge vision divide" on Capitol Hill.
"Looking everybody in a room doesn't seem to work around here," said Flores.
As far as solutions to the sequester, Flores said in September when appropriations bills come around, Congress should be able to find smarter cuts than the Sequester put in place.
Bill Flores is the Republican congressman for District 17 representing much of the Bryan-College Station area.
