It's graphic -- and in some cases extreme. The Shattered Dreams program recreates a fatality accident, fake blood and all.

The goal is to show high school students the deadly results of drinking and driving.

It's a gruesome sight. Blood. Glass. Bodies.

Fortunately... this isn't a real accident scene.
But the message is just as clear.

Students at Huntsville High School received a wake up call Thursday morning. The message: don't drink and drive.

"They're at an age where they're starting to experiment with drinking and we want them to understand that when they drink and drive, and loose your ability to drive correctly, then it can cause wrecks and fatalities, but not only does it affect them, but it affects other people," says Stacey Godby, the criminal justice teacher at Huntsville High School.

The accident scene is part of the Shattered Dreams Program, meant to show students the full response to a fatality accident.

The display covers every aspect. Paramedics. Police. Parents.

Parents hope that the message sticks outside of school making it easier for young drivers to make the right choice.
