Commuters on Barron Road in College Station will notice a portion will be reopened Wednesday afternoon.
According to contractors, rain in the recent days delayed asphalt being laid down. Crews worked until 10:30 Tuesday night to finish the job. They anticipate the road to be open Wednesday afternoon, in time for the evening commute.
TxDOT had closed the road between William D. Fitch Parkway and Barron Cut-off Road since December as part of the Barron Road improvement project.
The surface hasn't been striped yet, so drivers are asked to use caution.
