COLLEGE STATION – Drivers who use Highway 6 in College Station can expect construction delays for the next month.
Starting Sunday, the Texas Department of Transportation will be closing various lanes on Highway 6 between University Drive (FM 60) and Barron Road for a resurfacing project. The closures will occur between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for approximately the next four weeks.
TxDOT is requesting drivers remain alert for traffic control signage, lane closures, ramp closures and equipment and workers during these night time closures. Message boards will alert drivers to the open ramps.
The resurfacing project is part of a $1.4 million contract awarded to Knife River Corporation-South.
