Charla Anthony is a Program Assistant with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Brazos County conducting horticulture education in the areas of landscaping, gardening, water conservation, and environmental stewardship. Anthony also serves as coordinator of the Brazos County Master Gardener program.
She appears on television and radio gardening programs, and writes a regular newspaper column. Her educational background, includes a Bachelor of Science in Floriculture from Texas A&M University. She has lived and gardened in Brazos County all her life.

Jayla Fry
Weekend Gardner
Jayla Fry graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Horticulture and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Agriculture Education. Her work experience began by facilitating the Horticulture Technician Program at the Bryan Federal Woman’s Prison. She currently works with Master Gardener volunteers and coordinators throughout the state of Texas. She teaches an Introduction to the Texas Master Gardener Program, Earth-Kind Landscaping, and Botany for Master Gardener Interns. She also works with Master Gardener Associations to assist in organizational development through board trainings.
In 2009, she was a co-editor for the Sixth Edition of the Texas Master Gardener Handbook and co-authored the Plant Growth and Development and Earth-Kind Landscaping chapters within the handbook.
