A new wave of technology is making a run in College Station.

Texas A&M students Wednesday were able to test out the Nike+iPod Sport Kit at Rudder Plaza at Texas A&M University.

A sensor goes into the shoe that communicates with iPod nanos, allowing runners to hear more than just music.

The link allows runners to see and hear information, including the distance they have run and calories burned.

The Sport Kit costs $30, while an iPod nano costs between $150 to $250. Nike shoes can cost anywhere between $85 and $130.
