Join us as we honor the cancer survivors of our community during the 7th Annual Relay For Life of Washington County. Relay 2008 will be held on Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th at Blinn College’s Spencer Stadium. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the Opening Ceremonies/Cancer Survivor’s Lap at 7:00 p.m. on April 25th to help us cheer on our Survivors and their victory over cancer. Cancer Survivors who would like to participate can contact Debbi Vavra 979-830-4241 or Karin Dahmann 979-830-4212. There is no cost to participate and Survivors will be given a free T-Shirt while supplies last.

We also encourage you to attend the Luminaria Ceremony on April 25th at 9:00 p.m. Luminaria bags that have been purchased in honor or in memory of someone who has battled cancer will line the track at Spencer Stadium. This lighting and remembrance ceremony will serve as a visual reminder of the many lives in Washington County that have been forever touched by cancer. Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society. It is about a community that takes up the fight to find a cure for cancer. Please join us as we Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back!
