Dancing With the Senior Stars is the theme for this year’s 7th Annual Senior Expo scheduled at the Brazos Center on Briarcrest Dr. in Bryan on Wednesday, May 21, from 9AM-3PM, underwritten by HEB in cooperation with The Eagle and media partners KBTX-TV and TVFACTS. With 86 booths, seven informative seminars, and varied entertainment throughout the day, the Expo is the ideal location for seniors to collect information about local services, find answers to their concerns and enjoy local entertainment for the RIGHT price…FREE ADMISSION!

Topics this year covered during the seminars will include “Improving Your Health Through Dancing” with a Dancing Demonstration by Susan Quiring from Susan’s Ballroom Dance; “I’ve Fallen and Can’t Get Up and Dance!” Home Safety by Alma Fonseca, Texas Cooperative Extension Service; “Joint Replacement – Understanding Your Treatment” by Bill Whiting, Director/St. Joseph Regional’s Joint University; “Nutrition & Fitness” with Charlie Lima, Personal Trainer Train With Charlie; “Last Dance” Estate Planning - Wills & Trusts with Cletus ”Cowboy Davis, Attorney at Law; “Senior Beware! Top 10 Scams Targeting Seniors” with Barbara Pratt, and her husband Paul Pratt, Reverse Mortgage Consultants, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; “Forgotten Income for Forgotten People” with Jeff Williams, VBA, Certified Sr. Advisor/Govt. Benefits Analysts, Inc.

The Entertainment line-up for the day begins at 9AM with Sylvester Singleton from Crestview at the piano;50’s Country & Western by the Medicare Jam Band; Southern Gospel with A Joyful Noise; Dance with the Texas A&M “Swing Cats”; 40’s & 50’s Popular Music Mixed with C&W with the Stetson Trio and Country Western by the Dave Michulka Band.

Local senior-friendly companies/organizations will be distributing information about their services and products in 86 booths. They always provide lots of great door prizes and special treats. The vendors represent banks, healthcare facilities, business opportunities, and recreation.
