They are all down-under, but some area teens are letting their parents keep up with them while they're attending World Youth Day in Australia.

Last week two groups of local teenagers headed to Australia to see the Pope and visit with teens from across the World and College Station's youth from St. Thomas Aquinas is letting all of us get a glimpse into their world with a special blog.

The teens are posting pictures of the trip and giving a day by day accounting of their experiences. Although they've shared a great deal about their cultural and religous encounters this one shares a unique experience about an impromptue yell practice half a world a way. It starts off with a Whoop from a teen from San Antonio.

" We decided that what Brisbane was lacking was the experience of a good old fashioned Aggie yell practice. With me doing a poor impression of a yell leader, we held yell practice on the corner of Central St. and Queen St. Kevin Day entertained the crowd with some dancing and a back flip. Once all the shopping was done we began our walk back to the bus to take us to Nudgee. While walking we sang the Aggie War Hym and Back Street Boys. It was probably the only time the two songs have ever been sung in close proximity to one another."
