Free Veterans Benefit Saturday

The Veterans Land Board along with the Brazos County Veterans Service Office will be hosting a free benefit for veterans across the Brazos Valley Saturday at the VFW Post #4692 in Bryan (see address below the story).

John Velasquez tells News 3, "A lot of veterans and service members don't know what benefits are out there, so we want to get the word out." The free benefit will include exhibitors from the:

-Texas Veterans Land Board
-Texas Veterans Commission
-Department of Veterans Affairs
-VA Outpatient Clinic
-Texas Veterans Leadership Program
-Social Security Administration
-Brazos County Bar Association

According to Velasquez, many of those benefits include:

-$325,000 low-interest housing loans for 30 years
-$80,000 low-interest land loans for 30 years
-$25,000 low-interest home improvement loans for 20 years

The free benefit will be held Saturday, January 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the VFW Post #4692.
