Google has finally introduced its first web browser to cyber-world and it’s called Chrome. The browser is free to download, just type www.google.com/chrome into your web browser. Once you get to the page, select “Download Google Chrome”.

Chrome has some great features and the first one you’ll notice is the look. When you open the browser, it will automatically give you thumbnails of your most viewed web pages.

Google has also introduced a new address bar called “Omnibar”. This will allow you to type web address and search for websites using the same bar.

It’s also crash friendly! If you’re viewing a webpage that freezes up, only that webpage will be lost and not the rest of your tabs.

Like the new Internet Explorer, Chrome also has a built in privacy feature called Incognito. As the name implies, by turning this feature on, your web session will be private and no one will be able to track what you do or where you’ve been once you’re done.

While Chrome is definately worth a try, remember that it is in its beta -- or test -- phase. The browser has received some great reviews, but anything in beta mode is subject to instability.

The beta version of the browser is available with Windows Vista and XP.
