Josh Gorbutt joined the KBTX team in 2008, directing the station's 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts and producing commercials for KBTX's creative services department.
Since then, he’s had the opportunity to take on a number of roles at the station. In 2012, Josh organized the launch of CW8 Aggieland on KBTX’s 3.2 channel. He has also worked as the station's promotions director.
Josh likes that each day at KBTX offers new challenges to overcome and enjoys innovating ways to present the news to the Brazos Valley. The most satisfying part of Josh’s job is when it allows him to give back to the community, whether working with local charities like Scotty’s House or Books and a Blanket, or in his recent role as chairman of the American Cancer Society's 2015 Brazos County Cattle Baron’s Ball.
Josh is a proud Sam Houston State Bearkat and currently lives in College Station with his wife Breanne, who he met while working at KBTX. Outside of work, Josh enjoys traveling, classic films and spending time with friends and family.
