COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- Twenty-six current members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets are now deployed with the Texas National Guard in support of relief operations for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
That announcement was made on social media Wednesday by Brigadier General Joe Ramirez, a native of Houston.
"Twenty-six of our cadets continuing the tradition of selfless service to our communities, our state, and our nation that Aggies have been known for for over 140 years," wrote Gen. Ramirez on Facebook.
"We are all proud of our cadets who are serving so selflessly with the Texas National Guard, and wish them success in their mission and a quick, safe return to Texas A&M. God Bless our cadets who are currently deployed, God Bless those who have been directly affected by Hurricane Harvey, and God Bless the Great State of Texas," said Gen. Ramirez.
