Aggie couple creates new football roster app

COLLEGE STATION - Angela Wilke stood in Kyle Field for 15 years, looking off another fan's roster sheet to keep up with who was on the field. A couple of years ago, she asked herself how she could make that info easier to get for everyone.

She decided to take action and had the idea to create a mobile application.

Angela and her husband Chris got with a developer to bring their idea to life.

The mobile app called RapidRoster is geared toward college football, providing rosters, team comparisons and other features for all the current NCAA teams.

Extra features include the "TV Now" option where the app shows you every game that is playing on television that day and what channels to find them on.

The app automatically updates from week-to-week when connected to service.

The Wilkes are planning to add onto RapidRoster in the coming years, but for now are focusing on making a smooth entry with every college football teams. Though they are hoping to include stats and team history soon.

It's an investment born at Kyle looking to enhance games at any field.

RapidRoster is available in the app store be used on both mobile phones and tablets.
