COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- In 2006, Melanie Shankle, Aggie Class of 1993, started a blog about her daughter. Little did she know years of telling her story would turn into three New York Times Bestsellers.

"Shankle wrote Sparkly Green Earrings," "The Antelope in the Living Room," and "Nobody's Cuter Than You." Recently, she released her fourth book, "Church of the Small Things".

"This new book is about how things shaped my life and memories shaped my life and I thought it would be perfect to bring it back here and do a book signing at the MSC," said Shankle.

Shankle said a lot of her memories at Texas A&M and the years spent as an undergrad in Aggieland helped her write her latest book.

"I mean A&M and College Station has just such a special part in my life, and it really shaped and made me into who I am, so it just feels like an amazing opportunity," said Shankle.
