BRENHAM - Lady Gaga may have stolen the show Sunday with a stunning performance at halftime of Super Bowl 51, but she could not have done it without a little help from some local college students.

The Blinn College Treasures, along with the Buccaneer Marching Band, were selected to perform with Gaga during her halftime performance, something the students say was unforgettable.

"I actually had to read the text saying that we were selected to go about two or three times before my brain registered that we had been picked," said sophomore band student Mason Nesvadba.

"Words just can't describe how awesome it was."

The chance to perform with a world famous celebrity on football's grandest stage was not lost on the students.

"It was an opportunity that most people don't have, so when we found out we got the opportunity to do it, I was absolutely shocked," said sophomore Treasure Mackenzie Skria.

"It was a dream come true," said Karen Ruvalcabra, also a sophomore Treasure.

"I would have never in a million years imagined myself in the Super Bowl."
