COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- KBTX has learned some big changes could be coming to two popular parks.
At its Tuesday meeting, the City of College Station Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will review and discuss an audit and plan of action for the pool at Thomas Park.
The pool is facing significant renovations, repairs and upgrades, according to a city spokesman.
The board on Tuesday will receive information about costs associated with that work, as well as a scenario that could include closing the pool and opening a splash pad & park facility.
If a decision by the board is made, it'll be passed on to the city council for review and consideration. The public will be invited to provide input on the recommendations before any final decisions are made.
Also on Tuesday's agenda is a "presentation, possible action and discussion of 'off leash' policy at Lick Creek Park."
