AUSTIN, Tex. (KBTX) -- SXSW is turning its attention to music this weekend. Artists from all over are performing, including a Bryan boy.

KBTX has profiled Kane Alvarado before and now he's making a splash in Austin.

Nearly every performer News 3 has talked to says getting to play at SXSW is a huge thrill. For eight-year-old Alvarado, this is familiar ground. This is his fourth year to perform.

"It's so fun getting to play for people and have fun," Alvarado said. KBTX caught up with him and his family as they got into Austin.

If Alvarado looks familiar, he's been on KBTX numerous times. Courtney Burris profiled him back in September and he was featured on Free Music Friday in January.

Now, he's bringing his passion for guitar and blues to a stage at SXSW.

"[To everyone back home] I miss you because we're not going to be home for a couple of days," Alvarado said.

if you are thinking about coming to SXSW and wanna catch Alvarado's performance, he’s playing Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Big Easy Bar and Grill on 12th street.
