BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Bryan police say a pregnant woman is currently paralyzed after her fiance rammed his vehicle into the car she was riding in.

Police report that Jonathon Mendez, 19, was arguing with his fiancee at his home on Randolph Avenue on Sunday night. Two of her friends came to pick her up, and Mendez chased them down in his car, eventually ramming them into a tree.

Police say Mendez then took his fiance out of the backseat and carried her back to the home.

She suffered a concussion, bruises and a fractured neck, which reports say have left her paralyzed. The other two people in the car were also hurt.

Police found Mendez waiting for them at the home. He is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one with family violence. His bond has been set at $32,000.
