Bryan police make drug arrest during traffic stop

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Police in Bryan say they made a drug arrest Saturday during an expired registration traffic stop.

Murray Akins was pulled over on Texas Ave. around 4 pm. According to reports Akins lied about his identity and said he had a driver's license in the state of California.

After searching Akins' car police found meth, cocaine, marijuana, and an illegal firearm.

Akins was charged with manufacturing and delivering. He was booked into the Brazos County jail.
