Murder victims in Bryan shooting have been identified

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX)- Neighbors and family members say the two men gunned down Tuesday evening in Bryan's Castle Heights neighborhood were brothers and lived at the residence on Frankport.

Police have identified the victims as 25-year-old Dominque Franklin and 35-year-old Terant Reshadd Franklin, both of Bryan.

A third victim, unrelated to the brothers, was rushed to CHI St. Joseph Hospital. According to police, he is 61-years old. They declined to elaborate on his identity or injuries.

The shootings happened around 6:00 p.m. at a home in the 1500 block Frankfort Street near Castle Avenue.

Police were notified by neighbors who heard the gunshots. When officers arrived, they found the men in the home.

Bryan Police said they don't know how many suspects were involved. However, they don't believe the shooting was a random attack.

The investigation has been turned over to the Bryan Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit.
