BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - A Bryan woman has been arrested after police say she shot at her husband Wednesday evening.
Bryan police were called to a home on Tatum Street around 7:20 p.m. for a disturbance call.
Upon arrival, they approached a man who said his wife, Sally Ann Garza, had shot at him with what he believed to be a .45 caliber handgun.
Garza's husband said she initially tried to grab a different firearm, but he was able to get it away from her before she could load it.
After a search of the property, officers instructed Garza to exit the home.
Police say Garza admitted to opening fire but she claimed she was not trying to shoot at her husband. Garza said she was merely trying to shoot at the trailer he was standing next to.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Garza is being held in the Brazos County Jail and faces a $12,000 bond.
