Candlelight vigil planned for child killed in Robertson County crash

HUNTSVILLE, Tex. (KBTX) - A candlelight vigil will be held Monday evening, March 19, for a Huntsville boy who was killed in car crash last week.

A Texas Dept. of Public Safety official says Patrick Shane Glasgow, 7, passed away Sunday afternoon.

The candlelight vigil is being held at Huntsville Elementary School where he was a student and where his mother is a teacher.
Campus administration and staff have planned this vigil for their students starting at 6 p.m. Monday, according to a Huntsville ISD spokesperson.

Friends have established a YouCaring online fundraiser to help the Glasgows with medical and funeral expenses.

The crash itself happened last Wednesday on Highway 79 in Robertson County near the Franklin Safari. One witness tells KBTX it happened when one vehicle rear-ended another vehicle.

Several others were hurt the crash as well.

Funeral services for Patrick are pending.
