OCTOBER 24th, 2017 -- After gusty northwest winds brought in reinforcing fall air to the Brazos Valley Tuesday, a chill settles in by sunrise Wednesday.
Average low for the 25th day of October: 58°. Wednesday morning thermometers are expected to read 10° - 15° COLDER that that. Overnight temperatures dip to the low / mid 40s. In fact, a few upper 30° readings are not completely ruled out across parts of Leon, Houston, and Trinity Counties.
Jackets are needed for most as we start the day.
Sunshine and light winds allow afternoon highs to rebound around the seasonal average for this time of the year. Wrapping up Wednesday in the mid-to-upper 70s.
Sitting at 80° again Thursday afternoon as a breezy southwest wind takes over. Hold that thought -- the next cold front is scheduled for Friday morning. This front will usher in the coldest air of the season (so far) as blustery north winds drop temperatures to the 50s, with a chance not to rebound back to the 60° mark as we close out the week.
Morning lows in the upper 30s & a struggle to reach 60° Saturday afternoon is expected this weekend.
