COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A College Station church and a the community came together to support a three-year-old girl who suffers from epilepsy.
Connecting Point Church on Harvey Road held a huge garage sale. They're raising money to help a member's family get a service dog.
Candice Chamber's daughter Bella has a very rare form of epilepsy.
"It's really hard to control her seizures. She stops breathing during her seizures so it's super important for us to have the service dog to help us," said Chambers.
"Our church has just been phenomenal and community has been phenomenal they've brought a bunch of stuff up to donate. So we're having a yard sale and a cookout and an auction to help raise money for the service dog and the training of that dog," said Scott Willmore, Connecting Point Church Senior Pastor.
The family hopes to start training a dog soon and have it in service in the next year and a half.
