College Station man accused of threatening neighbor with hatchet

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A man was arrested Friday in College Station after a verbal argument nearly turned violent.

It happened just before 7 p.m. at an apartment complex near the 1700 block of Anderson street.

Police say before they arrived residents in neighboring units had been arguing with one another. The argument escalated and that's when police say Christopher Lezynski produced a tomahawk or hatchet and threatened his neighbors.

According to a release from police,"the victim believed their family was in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death as a result of the suspect’s threatening behavior. All parties were located on scene, uninjured, and there is no continuing danger to the public."

Christopher Brian Lezynski was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
