Emergency crews respond to 18-wheeler rollover in Robertson County

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tex. (KBTX) - UPDATE 2:55 p.m.: Department of Public Safety Troopers in Robertson County were dispatched to a one vehicle crash three miles South of Franklin on US-79 around 10:35 Thursday morning.

A witness stated a semi-tractor trailer truck hauling bricks went off the southbound side of US-79. The truck flipped onto its side scattering bricks along the roadway.

The truck driver was transported to St Joseph Hospital in Bryan by PHI helicopter for treatment.

Traffic was stalled on US-79 while debris was cleared.

No other details are available at this time and the crash remains under investigation.

An 18-wheeler loaded with bricks has overturned on Highway 79 in Robertson County near the Franklin Drive Thru Safari.

Emergency crews are on the scene near the intersection of 79 and Bishopville Road, according to the Robertson County Sheriff's Office.

State troopers have confirmed to News 3 that the driver was flown by helicopter to a hospital. He was in stable condition at the time.

TXDOT has been contacted for brick and debris removal.

Authorities ask that you avoid the area.
