AUSTIN, Tex. (KBTX) - As Texas A&M University's presence at the South by Southwest Interactive conference winds down, Aggie administrators are looking back at their first year participating in the worldwide SXSW.
Amy Smith, senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Texas A&M, joined First News at Four in Austin to highlight the work her staff and other departments did to make this happen.
"We really didn't have that large of a staff" working on SXSW, Smith said. By using the professionals in various fields all across A&M, Smith says they were able to keep costs down. Plus, she mentioned, the university will use all of these displays again.
