BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Authorities continue to investigate the suspect who is accused of carrying out the deadliest terrorist attack in New York City since 9/11.

Today the former acting and deputy CIA Director, Michael Morell talked about the tactics the suspect used -- that they were from the "ISIS playbook" -- which involves using vehicles and small arms like guns for knives.

Local terrorism expert, Dr. Danny Davis from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M says we always need to stay alert.

"We all need to be vigilant. We need to be aware of what's going on around us. Chattanooga Tennessee there was an attack. San Bernadino, California 14 killed and numerous wounded so it can happen anywhere again -- it's the movement, the ideology, that pushes these people," Davis said.

The FBI is also looking for information on a second man in connection with the deadly attack.
