Free Music Friday: Rob Moorman

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Rob Moorman joined us on First News at Four for Free Music Friday.

Biography:
Rob Moorman played music professionally in high school and in college. After graduating from SMU, he formed the Silver City Saddle Tramps and moved to Austin in early 1974. There they met with quick success and performed at Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic in College Station. They toured the southwestern and southeastern United States for several years, appearing with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Jerry Jeff Walker, George Jones, and others.

He left the road and returned to Brenham in 1982 to pursue a more stable life. He still performs monthly at Mobius Cafe in Brenham, Texas.
