Gift Idea: Historic Texas Maps from the General Land Office

By  |

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - If you need an idea for a unique gift for the holidays, the Texas General Land Office has you covered.

They have an entire library of maps that can be mounted to make great presents.

They also provide a fun way to learn about Texas history.
The earliest map they have is from 1607.

James Harkins with the G-L-O drove over from Austin to show off some of the maps on First News at Four.

The money from map sales goes toward the Save Texas History program.
