High-speed pursuit ends on Highway 21 near FM 50

A high-speed pursuit ended Wednesday afternoon near the Brazos-Burleson County line on Highway 21.

DPS Troopers says 22-year-old Triston Barefield of Cuero was arrested for fleeing authorities on a motorcycle. Troopers tell KBTX they were trying to do a traffic stop after they clocked the motorcyclist speeding.

The suspect had minor injuries after he wrecked his bike in a construction zone when he attempted to slow down.

Troopers say he also had a small amount of marijuana. He was transported to the Burleson County Jail.

A high-speed pursuit has ended near the Brazos-Burleson County line on Highway 21.

The chase ended Wednesday afternoon after a man fleeing law enforcement on a motorcycle wrecked out just east of FM 50.

The suspect has minor injuries and was taken into custody by troopers.

Troopers told us on the suspect was being chased in Burleson County when he lost control. The man is expected to be transported to the Burleson County Jail for booking. It's unclear why he was being chased.

The suspect's name has not been released yet.
