Caught On Camera: Hippos rescue wildebeest from crocodile

Shocking video shows two hippos rescuing a wildebeest from the jaws of a crocodile in South Africa.

The incredible video was captured by park visitor, Mervyn Van Wyk, who was visiting the Kruger National Park with his wife when the scene unfolded.

You can see the crocodile clamp down on the wildebeest's ankle near a river. After a struggle, the crocodile begins to drag its prey into the river.

That's when a pair of nearby hippos came to the rescue. They advanced on the underwater crocodile which freed the injured wildebeest.
